I’ve had a complicated pregnancy history with four miscarriages and two stillborns (last stillborn resulted from water breaking at 17 weeks). My husband will be out of town for the procedure so I’m trying to prepare myself. WebJun 24, 2009 · In my last pregnancy, I had a cerclage at 14 weeks, had 17P progesterone shots from 18 weeks, cervix kept shortening, but my water broke at 20 weeks. When I say broke, I mean burst like a water balloon. But, the cerclage was still in tact. I lost my baby at 22 weeks because there was no amniotic fluid left.

I can't imagine spending three months in the hospital. My cerc comes out in 4 wks and we'll deliver then or likely sometime soon thereafter. You can do it! Best of luck to you! WebI had my most recent preventative cerclage placed at 14 weeks. I had heaviness and pressure throughout my pregnancy, but it got worse around 33-36 weeks. I just had the cerclage out at 36 weeks and I could feel the pressure release when they removed the stitch. I’m 14 weeks and getting my cerclage tomorrow!

WebCerclage removal When I had my cerclage placed at 20 weeks I was told that it would be removed by my regular OB (not high risk) in office. At my OB visit, my doc mentioned that they will try to remove the cerclage in office but depending on the if there’s any scar tissue etc it may need to be done in the operating room.
