WebbReef salt was the answer to get the PH up nice and easy. The problem, is that if you use only reef salt to get the salt levels up to around 20ppt give or take, that the PH is actually TOO high. So there is a rough balance of 2/3 reef salt, and 1/3 aquarium salt to get the salt levels up and the PH up but not so high the tester shows purple. WebbIn addition to increased aeration, increasing the salinity looks to reduce the chance of "stickiness", in addition to other benefits. Normally, this would happen with time if you use Sea Monkey Food formula, that adds a little bit of salt with each feeding. But if you need to raise the salinity quicker but safely, you have two possibilities.
